Results are in and I highly recommend the 21 Day Fix! Over the course of the 21 days I lost 9.5 inches, most of which was in my waist and hips. I also was able to shed 10 lbs! This is a great (& easy to follow) program for establishing healthy diet and exercise habits. As part of my journey to happier and healthier I've decided to become a
Beach Body Coach. I'm excited to share my love of fitness and the beach
body programs!

Balance & Routine
Just one month ago I began this blog, and as you can see it hasn't been a priority. With only three posts and two recipes I haven't had a very active start...at least not online. The last 30 days I've been a physical, mental, and emotional work in progress. This last month was filled with play dates, field trips, exercising, healthy eating, family time, vacation, birthday celebrations, stress, anxiety, fear melt-downs and overwhelment. Summers are always busy, and although they are a "break" from my full time job they always seem more hectic and tiring than the rest of the year. This one even more so with Nick working out of town, my 2nd/summer job being extra challenging this year, keeping up with an almost 2 year old, looking for a house and trying to not go crazy iot eat a whole box of donuts n the meantime. I had to take a step back from the hustle and bustle, reevaluate what's most important to me and my family and try to find a healthy balance.
It's a work in progress but I know family must come first, and in order to be the best mom and wife I must take care if myself . While I've had 2 or more jobs for as long as I can remember the reasons for having them no longer outweigh the trees for "free" time. My family needs ME and I need them more than we need the extra money. So, step one of finding a healthy balance is speeding myself less thin, taking on less "extra" work, and enjoying every minute of every day. Tripp will only be little once!
More to come as I continue this journey of health, fitness and happiness ...

Taking Steps to Achieve my Goals
Back story:
Last Fall I began the Insanity program with some friends. I saw rapid and dramatic results and was very pleased with my progress. To stay motivated and to help motivate and support others who had noticed my improvements I began a fitness challenge at work that consisted of maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine. I felt like I was on the right track and their was no falling off, but life often throws you a curve ball. Shortly after I completed the program and fitness challenge we learned my husband would be working on a project out of state for several months. With this informations, the success of the real estate market, and our desire to purchase a newer and bigger home in a more family-friendly neighborhood we decided to put our house on the market. Tripp and I made plans to live with my husbands parents. In the business of packing, selling and moving my diet and exercise plan went out the window. As my 30th birthday quickly approached and my clothes began getting tighter and tighter I decided to take action. With my prior success with the insanity program, and recommendations from a fellow mom I decided I would begin the 21 Day Fix program from Beach Body.
The 21 day fix program has provided me with an easy to follow diet, that requires no calorie counting, allows me to eat chocolate (YUM) and recommends I eat more food than I'm used to eating. Plus, a workout schedule is provided with the 30 minute DVD workout.
I am currently on day 9 and absolutely loving the program! I'm down 4 lbs and 4 inches and can tell a difference in my clothes and in the mirror.
As I continue journey I'll document my favorite recipes and other tips for getting the most out of this program.
Stronger than yesterday; looking forward to a healthier tomorrow!

About Project 30
As I challenge the next 30+ years of my life I have set very basic goals I want to achieve and will document through this blog.
Goals:
BE FIT: I'm not looking to be skinny, this is not my goal. I want to WILL achieve a healthy body fat percentage, feel good in my clothes, and comfortable in my swim suit.
Be Energized: This less you do the less you want to do, the more you do to more energy you have to do more. I want to WILL keep up with my almost 2 year old now and for years to come. I'd rather not know about the latest reality tv show because I'm busy living in my own reality playing with my son.
Motivate & Support: I want to WILL set a positive example for my son and hopefully many others. I KNOW this is not a struggle I'm facing alone, and in fact millions of Americans struggle with their weight and fitness as well. Going it alone isn't easy! I'll gladly share any tips, recipes, and favorite things/tools that are helping me in order to help others achieve their goals for a healthier lifestyle.
